Oastlers Mathematics Department
Called by Einstein the Poetry of logic maths is a fundamental subject and part of the Core Curriculum, as it is required by all employers.
It is also needed in so many areas of our adult lives from shopping and budgeting, through planning our day and cooking, to its use in all modern jobs.
The mathematics provision at Oastlers School starts at the basic level of teaching life skills such as telling the time and counting correct change.
The subject then progresses through the Key Stages to our GCSE classes. It covers all the standard topics, Using and applying mathematics, shape, space and measures, numbers and algebra and handling data.
Learners will work towards GCSE or equivalent outcomes, accredited by AQA Examination Board at Key Stage 4.
